Terms and Conditions

Main terms and conditions, covering account eligibility, deposits and withdrawals, betting rules, promotions, responsible gambling tools, complaints procedures, and legal terms.

These terms in brief

This is the agreement between you and us. “Us” means Bet Ahoy Ltd, company number 16650332, with a registered office at 3 Kingfisher Court, Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 1QQ, the company that runs the beta-hoy.co.uk website and both apps. We hold a licence from the Gambling Commission, account number 100094, and they regulate what we do. The moment you open an account you’re agreeing to what’s on this page, and also to the Betting Rules, to the Game Rules you’ll find inside each casino game, and to the small print of any promotion you decide to take. Four documents rather than one, but each of them is short.

Who can open an account

Three conditions, none of them negotiable: you’re 18 or over, you live in the United Kingdom, and the account is for you, not for a friend, a relative or anyone who’s asked you to open one on their behalf. One account each. That means one per person, and also one per household, address, payment method and device, so a second account under a partner’s name on the same phone is still a second account. We check identity, address and age, and we might ask for documents again later; that’s normal, not a sign something’s wrong. Give us false details and the account closes, stakes come back to you, winnings don’t.

Your account

Your login is yours to look after. Whatever happens on the account, a bet, a deposit, a withdrawal request, counts as you doing it, so keep the password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in. There are times we’ll freeze an account for a while: something looks suspicious, a payment is being disputed, or the regulator needs us to. We’ll tell you why whenever the law lets us, which is most of the time but not always.

Deposits and withdrawals

Three ways in: Visa debit, Mastercard debit or Trustly, and the card or bank account has to be in your own name. The minimum is £10 whether you’re depositing or withdrawing. Money goes out the same way it came in, and the first withdrawal waits until verification is done. We don’t add fees on either side. Your balance sits in bank accounts kept separate from the company’s own money, which is a licence condition rather than a favour. And credit cards aren’t accepted, because using one for gambling has been illegal in Great Britain for years.

Bets and games

A bet is live once it shows up in your bet history. After that there’s no taking it back, apart from the specific situations the Betting Rules describe. If a price is plainly a mistake, a decimal point in the wrong place, odds flipped between two teams, we’ll void the bet and hand the stake back rather than pay out on an error. On in-play: the scores and the clock come from a third-party feed, and that feed can lag the real thing by a few seconds. Bet off it and you’re taking that risk yourself. In the casino, each game’s own rules apply in full, including its maximum payout and what happens if your connection drops mid-round.

Promotions

Every offer comes with its own terms, and those sit on top of these. New-customer offers are strictly one per person and you can’t stack them. We’ll pull someone out of a promotion if we think they’re matched betting, arbing, abusing a bonus, working with other players or running more than one account. We can also end a promotion whenever we choose, though anyone who’s already met its terms keeps what they’ve earned.

Responsible gambling

Deposit limits, loss limits, reality checks, time-outs, self-exclusion: all of it is in your account and you can switch any of it on whenever you like. Once you self-exclude, that’s it for the period you chose; we won’t undo it early. We’re part of GamStop, and if an account turns up on the scheme we close it.

Closing an account

Want to leave? Message support and they’ll close it. We can close an account too, if these terms have been broken, if the regulator requires it, or for another reason with fair notice. Either way, any real money left on the balance comes back to you once verification is complete.

Complaints

Start with Customer Services, by chat or email. They’ll acknowledge it within 48 hours. If they can’t sort it, it goes up to senior management. And if it’s still unresolved eight weeks on, or we’ve sent you a deadlock letter, you can take it to IBAS, the Independent Betting Adjudication Service, at no cost to you.

Liability and law

We’re not responsible for losses caused by things outside our control, your internet going down, a third-party feed getting it wrong, that sort of thing. What we can’t do is use these terms to escape liability the law says we can’t escape, and we don’t try. The agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and if a dispute ever ends up in court, it’ll be a court in England and Wales.

Changes

Laws change, licence conditions change, and so does what we offer, so these terms will change with them from time to time. Anything significant gets announced on the site with a date, and it applies from that date onwards.
